Biblical research is not only at the foundation of The Way Ministry but also at the foundation of each of our individual lives.  Biblical research is for every believer, not just a few.  Every believer has the joy of working the Word so that it lives for him or her.  One of the challenges in Biblical research is that, as far as we know, there are no original texts in existence today of the Word of God originally given by holy men of God. But the Word of God interprets itself, so even without original manuscripts, we can work with Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, and English reference materials and see the heart and intent that God wanted to communicate.

Utilizing these reference materials helps the workman of the Word to study it with diligence by applying principles of Biblical research, which we teach in our ministry’s classes.  Our goal is that we rightly divide that Word to get back to God’s original intent.  The Way International Bookstore is an excellent resource for meeting a variety of needs in this category of Biblical research materials.

King James Version Bible

Various Cambridge Bibles are available.
The Amplified Bible This is a greatly expanded version that has many definitions incorporated into the text.  This version can help the reader get an “amplified” or stronger sense of the original emphasis and heart of the Scriptures.
The Companion Bible This is a unique and very useful study Bible.  It has an extensive system of notes in addition to the King James Version.  It also has 198 appendixes covering a wide variety of Biblical topics.  This Bible can be of great value to the serious Biblical student.
Dake’s Annotated Reference Bible This Bible has many special features that make it a valuable tool for Biblical research, for example, 500,000 cross references throughout 35,000 explanatory notes and comments; enlightening notes on astronomy, Bible animals, birds, plants, minerals, weights, measures, and other things which will enrich the reader’s enjoyment of the Word of God.
The Holy Bible from Ancient Eastern Manuscripts (“Lamsa Bible”) This is a translation of the Peshitta manuscripts by Dr. George M. Lamsa.  The Peshitta is the standard version of the Old and New Testaments in Aramaic (also called Syriac).

Concordances / Lexicons:
Young’s Analytical Concordance to the Bible This concordance is a listing of the principal words in the King James Version of the Bible.  It shows where these words occur in the Scriptures as well as the Greek or Hebrew words from which they were translated.
A Critical Lexicon and Concordance to the English and Greek New Testament This work by E.W. Bullinger contains a wealth of insight into the Biblical meanings of many Greek words in the New Testament.  No knowledge of Greek is required to utilize this resource.  The greatest benefit of this book is the accuracy of its definitions of Greek words.  This book lists in alphabetical order most English words from the King James Version of the New Testament.
New Wilson’s Old Testament Word Studies This is a reference work written to illustrate the precise meaning of Hebrew words.  The definitions are easily accessible to the Biblical student who does not know the Hebrew language. This study tool lists in alphabetical order most English words from the King James Version of the Old Testament.

Other Research Works:
The New Bible Dictionary This is a reference work dealing with the people and places of the Bible as well as major doctrinal concepts of Christianity.  It provides important background information in the fields of history, geography, archaeology, and the customs of Bible times.  Its use will enrich the Biblical student’s understanding of many people and places referred to in the Scriptures.
Oxford Bible Atlas This resource contains maps that show cities, trade routes, and the political boundaries of different regions referred to in the Bible at important points in the history of the Biblical narrative.  There is accompanying text that provides useful insights into the culture, contemporary historical events, archaeological finds.
Manners and Customs of the Bible Here is an extensive compilation of information by J. M. Freeman on Eastern manners and customs of the Bible from a wide variety of sources.  There are also engravings that illustrate many of the topics discussed.  The book includes a topical index as well as a scripture index.
Figures of Speech Used in the Bible This interesting resource by E. W. Bullinger has over two hundred distinct figures of speech catalogued and organized into different divisions.  Each figure of speech is then defined and explained and illustrated with examples from the Scriptures.

The Way International Research Publications:

Victor Paul Wierwille spent several decades vigorously and prayerfully searching out the truths of God's Word.  As part of his search, he consulted and worked with many outstanding individuals in Christian studies for keys to power-filled, victorious living.  In his quest to find the truths of the Word of God, Dr. Wierwille became the founder and first president of The Way International, a nonsectarian, nondenominational Biblical research, teaching, and fellowship ministry.

For over forty years, Dr. Wierwille devoted his major energies to intensive research and teaching of the accuracy of God's Word.  In 1953, he began teaching his Biblical research in classes on Power for Abundant Living.  As Dr. Wierwille persevered in his research of the Bible, he continued to write more research works in Biblical studies.  The following are his research works available today in our Bookstore:
Studies in Abundant Living, Volumes I-V:  
Volume I: The Bible Tells Me So reveals practical truths that will increase the quality of our life by showing us how to believe, which enables us to maintain mental, physical, and spiritual wholeness.
