God bless you abundantly in the sweetest name I know, Jesus Christ.
It gives me great pleasure to have the opportunity to serve you as President of The Way International. Jesus Christ made this attention-getting statement about service to his disciples:
…whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:
And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.
This was the heart of our Founding President, Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille, and it is still the model for leaders in The Way Ministry today. My goal is to minister and to serve you the most valuable thing available on the face of the earth, the rightly divided Word of God.
When I came to the Word in 1981, I was astounded to learn of its accuracy and its integrity, which I saw with my own eyes as I took our ministry’s Foundational Class. Even though I grew up in a traditional church, no one had ever presented the Scriptures to me with such breathtaking precision. As an engineering student in my last year of college, I was absolutely amazed at how true science and the Bible fit together seamlessly. It was at that point that my heart rejoiced—I had found my home. Almost forty years later, my heart still rejoices at the Word of God.
In 1990, my future wife, Jill, and I graduated into The Way Corps. We were married about a year later and eventually had two beautiful baby girls, who are now grown adults. In 1999, my servant’s mind-set deepened when I was ordained to the Christian ministry. Since graduating into The Way Corps, Jill and I have served on Staff at The Way International Headquarters, as the State coordinators of eight states, and I was privileged to coordinate two Regions in The Way of the U.S.A. In hindsight, these service opportunities were my training ground for my new role.
I am excited to lead our Biblical research, teaching, and fellowship ministry as we endeavor to move in the direction of God’s omniscient guidance. Together we can kindle our passion and zeal and strengthen our firm commitment to see God’s glory and power manifested in our lives; we can take that Word which prevails in our hearts and move it to the world!
I love you and thank God for your precious lives.
