What is the Ambassadors of the Way program?
The Way Ambassador program provides a framework for personal spiritual growth in the broader context of a team that consists of other Word-centered men, women, and young people. The framework includes quality time in the Word each day, time in prayer each day, fellowship with like-minded, believing team members on a daily basis, speaking God’s Word in the local community, and building home-based fellowships by inviting all who show an interest.
We find these important and proven ingredients for personal spiritual growth in Acts, chapter 2.
Acts 2:42:
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Later, in verse 47, we see the results of these principles come to fruition.
Acts 2:47:
…And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
The Way International has a rich heritage spanning over five decades of reaching out with God’s Word. The early 1970s saw the advent of the Word Over the World (WOW) Ambassador program, which formed the basis of the Way Disciple program that would follow in the mid-1990s. The Ambassadors of the Way Outreach Program builds on the legacies left by our WOW Vets and Way Disciple Alumni and merges elements from those two programs into a contemporary format, fit for the twenty-first century.
Who are Way Ambassadors?
Way Ambassadors are believing men and women who desire to set out on a fresh and meaningful service adventure!
Way Ambassadors lovingly express God’s goodness, share their stories of deliverance, boldly hold forth the Word of God, and make fellowship available to all who show an interest.
An Ambassador of the Way is a service-minded representative of the Lord Jesus Christ, bringing the good news of God’s Word into specific communities.
II Corinthians 5:20:
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
In a world where there is so much confusion about how to find God and where to find God, Jesus Christ lays out the path with astonishing clarity. He is the way to the Father. Ambassadors of the Way venture out into communities to freely and lovingly share this powerful truth.
John 14:6:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
