Forgiveness and Remission of Sins

Psalms 86:5:
For thou, Lord,
art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

Psalms 103:2,3:
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.

Psalms 103:10-12:
He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
For as the heaven is high above the earth,
so great is his mercy toward them that fear [reverence] him.
As far as the east is from the west,
so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Psalms 130:3,4:
If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
But
there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared [revered].

Isaiah 43:25:
[God], even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Daniel 9:9:
To the Lord our God
belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him.

Matthew 26:26-28:
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed
it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave
it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Luke 24:45-47:
Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 2:38:
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost
[Holy Spirit].

Romans 3:23-25:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hath set forth
to be a propitiation [payment] through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.

Ephesians 1:4,7:
According as he
[God] hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.
In whom
[Jesus Christ] we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness [remission] of sins, according to the riches of his grace.

James 5:15:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

I Peter 2:24:
Who
[Jesus Christ] his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

I John 1:7—2:2:
But if we walk in the light, as he
[God] is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, he
[God] is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him
[God] a liar, and his [God’s] word is not in us.
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
And he is the propitiation
[payment] for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
